KS2 First World War and Remembrance Workshops
To mark this year’s Remembrance, join us in a creative workshop at Experience Barnsley Museum. Learn about the poppy as a symbol of remembrance, find out about the lives and stories of local people through hands-on learning and make individual wire poppies to create an eye-catching display back at school.
While at Experience Barnsley Museum, your class can explore our new First World War temporary exhibition, containing archives and objects from the time, given to the museum by local people. You can find out what happened when the war ended, and some soldiers returned, and the ways in which life altered for everyone afterwards.

Half-day session will cost £200 for up to 30 children (£6.99 for each additional child).
