Due to high winds the main events at Barnsley's Christmas lights switch on are CANCELLED

Due to high winds the main events planned for this evening’s Christmas lights switch on have been cancelled in the interests of public safety. The decision has been made after high winds have made the stage area in front of the town hall unsafe. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause but we have to consider people’s safety. The meet and greet with Queen Elsa and Princess Anna and other children’s characters is still going ahead as planned in Experience Barnsley at 6.30pm. Tickets are available from the Experience Barnsley gift shop or at shop.barnsley-museums.com/.
