How to use these resources
These activities were originally designed for a school workshop at Experience Barnsley Museum. The workshop covers the elements of a successful campaign e.g. slogans, logos and posters, using the Miners’ strike and Women Against Pit Closures movement as inspiration. Pupils then create their own campaign on an issue of their choice.

We have adapted the workshop so it can be carried out at school or at home during this time. All resources have been provided including an activity plan, a PowerPoint, worksheets and some extra information and suggested activities. If you don’t have a printer, pupils could design their own worksheets or just make notes on a piece of paper.
