10 Years of Barnsley Museums and Heritage Trust Display

To celebrate the forthcoming 10-year anniversary of Barnsley Museums and Heritage Trust, Barnsley Archives have created a display which will showcase some of the items that have been purchased or conserved thanks to the generous donations of supporters of the Trust. Barnsley Museums & Heritage Trust is a fundraising charity founded in 2015 to help preserve, enhance and champion the borough’s heritage for the future. 

The display cases include a volume of 15 original pen and ink plans of Barnsley drawn by Francis Kendray in 1800, a colourised print of the Oaks Mining Disaster and a Hoyland Common Co-Op Commemorative trowel along with other documents and objects of interest. You will be able to see the display in the reception area of Barnsley Archives and Local Studies and you can read more on our blogsite
