Explore Your Archive Focus Week is an Archives and Records Association event to encourage everyone to visit, use, celebrate and be inspired by archives in the UK & Ireland.

This year as part of #ExploreYourArchive week we are holding a Hands on History event in collaboration with the University of Warwick, you can book on to one of our House History Surgeries and in partnership with Barnsley Civic Trust there is a talk about the Mines Rescue Service. The Barnsley Museums Podcast

As part of Explore Your Archive week the Barnsley Museums Natters podcast is back for a new series which will focus on a collection of 1980s recordings that are being made available online for the first time. The first of these interviews is with Dickie Bird MBE OBE the reknowned cricket umpire who passed away recently.
